US-based clothing retailer Forever 21 launches its second store in the Serdika Shopping Mall in Sofia. Last year, the US retail chain began expanding into Central and Eastern Europe from Bulgaria by opening its first store in Paradise Center. Following the success of the first chain store at Paradise Center and consumer interest in Forever 21 products, the company chose to expand its branch network in Bulgaria. The second Forever 21 store in Bulgaria extends to a 1,400 sq.m. ground floor, and is larger than the first. The store’s inauguration took place on March 18, 2017. In the recent past in 2016, franchisee Teren Management Europe opened Forever 21 stores in 6 countries, starting in Sofia. The company opened stores in Romania (Bucharest), Slovakia (Bratislava), Poland (Lodz and Poznan), Czech Republic (Prague) and Portugal (Lisbon). In addition, the company is involved in the operation and management of two stores in Madrid and Barcelona.
