In May 2018 the works relating to the change of use of existing warehouse building of the old facilities of the company “PAPASTRATOS” in plot of 5,460 sq.m. in an office building with the addition of two new floors within an approved enclosure and the creation of a level of underground parking. The building has a total surface area of about 10,800 sq.m., underground auxiliary spaces, and 4,650 sq.m. about. The construction was followed by the internationally recognized LEED sustainable construction and assessment system for complete renovation aiming at the excellent environmental performance of the LEED Gold certified building. Elements that stand out are the integration of bioclimatic elements (addition of openings and an atrium for natural lighting, natural shading, improvement of thermal insulation), the addition of green surfaces with Mediterranean plants to the surrounding area, the construction of exterior surfaces for pedestrians and bicycles, with public transport, parking places with electric vehicle charging points, the construction of rainwater reservoirs to reduce the consumption of drinking water. The coordination, monitoring, and supervision of the Project were undertaken by DIMAND SA.
