Mock-up Makedonia Palace

The objective of the project within the Makedonia Palace Hotel was the creation of 3 mock-up rooms which would be used for the overall renovation of the hotel in subsequent phases. The rooms were located on the 8th floor of the hotel and were redesigned into a one-room and a two-room suite. Work was carried out on a highly compressed work schedule (24 days) and included the changes of all the infrastructure and the final surfaces of the rooms, as well as part of the carpentry work. Because of the nature of the construction (mock-up), many decisions were taken during the execution, in view of the possibility of applying them repeatedly to all the rooms. The parallel smooth operation of all the other rooms of the five-star hotel was treated with great significance, and therefore access, constraint, and protection of the existing areas was vital.
