Residence in Thesprotia

The stone house was constructed at the begging of last century. The restoration works were based at the reinforcement of the mortar between the stones, the construction of concrete foundations and of new wooden roof. The project also included the extension of the house by adding distinct new spaces in order to make it functional. The architect of the house renovation was Ms Maria Zogali. The site engineer Mr Zisis Tsakirakis, had to face the difficult access to the site, the weather conditions, the oldness of the building and the previous additional structures attached to the initial stone walls. The construction works lasted 6 months.
